Kulunatin national reserve is located in the South of Kyrgyz Republic, Osh region. It covers the territory of Ferghana and Alai mountain range. The reserve was established in 2004 for preservation of biodiversity of these lands.

Karatal-Japyryk national reserve is located in Naryn region, southern part of Son-Kul lake. It also includes territory of two rivers: Kara-Tal and Japyryk. Area of the reserve equals 14000 hectares.
