The town of Toktogul is a regional center of the district of the same name in Jalal-Abad region. The town got its name after the famous akyn (poet) Toktogul Satylganov.
Naryn Region
Karatal-Japyryk Reserve
Karatal-Japyryk national reserve is located in Naryn region, southern part of Son-Kul lake. It also includes territory of two rivers: Kara-Tal and Japyryk. Area of the reserve equals 14000 hectares.

Padysh-Ata Reserve
Padysh-Ata reserve is located on the territory of Jalal-abad region, western Tien-Shan. The reserve area equals 30,560 hectares.

We managed to visit the most distant places of that relatively small, but vivid country, and it took from us just 14 days.
